Statutory action on Buildings at Risk and Stopping the Rot debate
The Institute of Historic Building Conservation is currently carrying out a survey for English Heritage on the use and effectiveness of Listed Building Repairs Notices, Urgent Works Notices, Compulsory Purchase and other statutory action.
Information gathered through the survey will feed into a new edition of 'Stopping the Rot: a step by step guide to serving urgent works and repairs notices'.
An invitation to participate in the survey has been sent to all local planning authorities and the survey closes on Tuesday, 26th April 2011.
We urge all local planning authorities to complete the survey and provide suggestions for revisions to and case studies for inclusion in 'Stopping the Rot'.
